Girls bowling wins against Flushing

Senior Karlee Griffin led the girls bowling team in a Metro League victory over Flushing 26-4.

The Hornets and Raiders competed over the weekend at Holly Lanes, Saturday, Jan. 13.

Griffin’s high game was 248 for Kearsley. She also threw a 156.

In addition, sophomore Imari Blond rolled scores of 210 and 211 and senior Emma Boychuk tallied games of 189 and 182.

The match began with Baker games of 205 and 198 to Flushing’s 177 and 161, which gave the Hornets a 10-0 lead.

In the first individual game, Kearsley had a 1,020 actual team game to Flushing’s 867. In the final game, the Hornets earned a 846 actual to Flushing’s 754.

The final total pinfall of the match was Kearsley’s 2,269 to Flushing’s 1,959.

The Hornets are now 7-0 in the season so far, sitting in first place.

Owosso is on Kearsley’s heels. The Trojans are in second at 7-1.
