Linden knocks off boys basketball

The boys basketball team took lost to the Linden Eagles on the road.

The Hornets lost 62-45, Tuesday, Jan. 9.

But, according to Coach Paul Adas, they played a much better game than they have been playing lately.

“Overall, the team had a better start, a better defense, and a better effort than most of their games,” Adas said. “The game was definitely better than what the score indicated.”

The team lead the Eagles 16-4 in the first quarter, but quickly fell short in the second half.

Kearsley’s top scorers were junior Saif Dawan with 16 points and senior Taveon Harris with 13 points.

The Hornets are 3-6 overall, 0-5 in the Metro League.
