Christmas spirit week will bring holiday cheer to students, staff
Students and staff prepare to deck the school halls this year with Christmas cheer by participating in the KHS Christmas spirit week.
Spirit week will be Monday, Dec. 18, through Friday, Dec. 22, the last day of school before Christmas break.
Junior Audri Counelis enjoys dressing up but doesn’t like the uniformity of the days each year.
“I love the fact that we have Christmas spirit days,” Counelis said. “But they (the days) are the same every year and should be switched up a little bit. Although, I do love wearing pajamas to school.”
The spirit days are as follows:
Monday – Christmas tree day
Students and staff are encouraged to wear green shirts or sweaters and decorate them with garland and ornaments to look like a Christmas tree.
Tuesday – Red and green day
Just as it sounds, simply wear anything green or red.
This could include clothing, makeup, or accessories.
Wednesday – Christmas pajama day
Throw on your favorite pair of fuzzy holiday pants or perhaps a cozy Christmas-themed onesie.
Thursday – Christmas sock and hat day
Students and staff can wear Santa hats or hats with reindeer antlers on them.
Also, put on some fuzzy socks or a cute pair of cheerful socks.
Friday – Ugly Christmas sweater day
Celebrate the last day of school before break by wearing a hilariously dorky knitted sweater with Christmas decorations or details attached.
