Baseball splits with Clio, honors seniors

Kearsley’s baseball team split their games with Clio on senior night Monday, May 22.

The Hornets honored seniors Mitchell Conely, Matt Carpenter, and Ryan McCoy.

Kearsley won the first game 6-2 against the Mustangs.

Freshman Ethan Livingston, Conely, McCoy led the team offensively with a total of two hits apiece.

In addition, Livingston had three RBI.

Sophomore Dustin Bennett pitched a complete game, contributing to the Hornets’ win.

In the second game, the Mustangs made a comeback and beat Kearsley 9-2.

Carpenter led the Hornets with a triple.

The Hornets finished their season 2-12 in the Flint Metro League.
