Softball sweeps Fenton with strong offense

Freshman Claire Oulette aided the Hornets in their two victories against Fenton on Friday, April 21.

Kearsley traveled to Fenton for a doubleheader Friday, April 21 and swept the Tigers.

Kearsley 14, Fenton 7

In the first game, Kearlsey started off the game strong and finished with a win over the Tigers 14-7.

Freshman Claire Ouellette hit her first home run of her varsity career in the sixth inning.

“As soon as I hit it, it felt like I barely had to swing,” Ouellette said. “My goal for the season is to just become mentally stronger and more confident in myself.”

Kearsley 6, Fenton 1

In the second game, Ouellette was the pitcher helping the Hornets get their win 6-1.

Kearsley advances their record to 4-4 overall, 3-1 in the league.

The Hornets host a doubleheader against Swartz Creek on Monday, April 24.
