On Wednesday, March 8, the quiz bowl team lost both matches at Linden.

The first round was against Flushing, and the Hornets ended with a losing score of 680-135.

For the last round, Brandon and Kearsley battled in a close match.

Unfortunately, the Blackhawks squeezed past the Hornets 255- 250.

The team’s coach, Mr. Chris Schmidt, thinks the team is doing well for being made up with only freshmen.

“I feel we’ve accomplished a lot for how young the team is,” Schmidt said. “We have a good core of students, and we’ve made progress. I’m looking forward to next year.”
