Swartz Creek out scores boys basketball team
Senior Darrion Younger was the only Kearsley player to eclipse double-digit points in the boys basketball team’s 65-46 loss against Swartz Creek.
The Hornets went to Swartz Creek on Friday, Feb. 3, after a league victory over Linden in the previous game.
Younger’s 12 points led the team, and he was helped by shooting 100 percent on the free-throw line. Only one of the team’s seven free throws was missed.
Also contributing for Kearsley were senior Chandler Ford and junior Taveon Harris. Both guards scored seven points.
Creek’s Jayen Price-Rose, Emmanuel Bates, and Brandon Bouchard all had more than 10 points, combining for 41 total.
The Hornets are now 2-7 in the Metro League and will seek a non-league win on Monday, Feb. 6, at Corunna.
