The boys basketball team beat Linden in a close 60-52 road contest on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Sophomore guard Saif Dawan led the Hornets with 16 points.

Senior Darrion Younger followed close behind with 14 points.

Linden still sits above Kearsley in the league standings, but the gap has narrowed.

The Eagles are sixth at 3-5 while the Hornets are seventh with a 2-6 record in league contests.

The team plays next when it travels to Swartz Creek to take on the Dragons on Friday, Feb. 3.
