The boys basketball team lost to Fenton 56-45 on Friday, Jan. 6.

Senior Darrion Younger, team captain, ended the night with a season-high 13 points.

Younger was hot from the three-point line, making three from beyond the arc.

The second quarter started off with Younger hitting a 3-pointer, leading to a 16-point quarter in which the Hornets took the lead.

A slower second half led to their demise, though.

Other Hornets who scored well were senior Chandler Ford with nine points and junior Devyn Sredich with six.

The girls basketball team also lost to Fenton. The Tigers won by six, 57-51.

Both teams play next against Linden on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

The boys host the Eagles while the girls travel to Linden.
