Soccer knots game with Bay City Central
The Hornets and Bay City Central tied 1-1 on Friday, May 13.
This was the first goal in three weeks for the Hornets.
Sophomore Marysa Gatica scored Kearsley’s lone goal.
Gatica was excited that she made the Hornets’ first goal since losing to Flushing 3-1 on Monday, April 25.
“It has been awhile. It feels good since we scored a goal,” Gatica said. “I am just happy I was the one to score with the help of my teammates.”
The Hornets’ overall record stands at 7-5-1. In the Metro League, they are 0-5.
Kearsley returns to the field on Monday, May 16, at 4 p.m. at Brandon High School.
