Girls’ bowling claims the title of Flint Metro League champions for the seventh year in a row.

Girls’ bowling clinched its seventh straight Metro League championship after beating Fenton and Brandon on Saturday, Feb. 13.

The victories also improved the Hornets’ league winning streak to 74.

The Hornets bowled against Fenton first and won with a final score of 28-2.

Senior Alexxa Flood and freshman Alexis Roof were the top bowlers. Flood had games of 201 and 231, while Roof had scores of 178 and 160.

They then faced Brandon and won with a final score of 29-1.

The top bowlers were senior Hannah Ploof, with pinfalls of 220 and 203, and sophomore Barbara Hawes, with games of 231 and 185.

The team’s next event will be a singles tournament at Holly Lanes on Saturday, Feb. 20.
