The Environmental Club invites you to join them for free snowshoeing Thursday, Feb. 18.

This event will take place at the Ligon Outdoor Center from 3-5 p.m.

All you need to do is dress for the weather and show up, but make sure to wear your snow boots.

The Outdoor Center will provide the snowshoes and will guide you through the trails at Ligon.

You can either meet at Ligon at 3 p.m., which is at 5213 East Farrand Road in Clio, or meet at the school by 2:25 p.m. to carpool.

If you are meeting at the school, meet at Room 815.

During the exploring of the trails, there will be a stop made to sit and enjoy a campfire, including s’mores, courtesy of Mrs. Leah Thomas, club adviser.

According to Thomas, biology teacher, the goal of this event is to “get people outside.”

“We wanted something free that anybody can participate in,” Thomas said. “We really just want people to get outside.”
