Davison downs boys’ basketball team
The boys’ basketball team was outscored 60-46, resulting in a tough loss against Davison on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
The Cardinals only scored four points in the second quarter, giving the Hornets a three-point lead and confidence at halftime.
But Kearsley could not hang on in the second half, and the Cardinals pulled ahead.
The Cardinals dominated on the glass, out rebounding the Hornets in the game.
Junior Darrion Younger led the team with 12 points and seven rebounds, and sophomore Jack Vollmar contributed 10 points.
Junior Chandler Ford, captain, is looking forward to playing Fenton next, regardless of the hard loss.
“We are looking forward to competing with Fenton this Friday, and working together as a team,” Ford said.
The 1-3 Hornets hope to bounce back in their next game. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. at Fenton High School on Friday, Jan. 8.
