Boys’ basketball pushes past LakeVille
The boys’ basketball team won its first game of the season on Tuesday, Dec. 22, beating LakeVille 62-45 on the road.
Junior Chandler Ford was the top scorer with 17 points.
Ford was pleased with the win.
“It felt great to put together a true team,” Ford said. “When we had a great defensive position in the game, it always led to a score.”
The non-league win improved the Hornets to 1-3 overall, while remaining 0-2 in the Metro League.
Ford said the team needs to continue working together to improve its season.
“In order to keep winning, we must put full effort into our play and work as a collective unit,” he said.
The Hornets return to action Tuesday, Jan. 5, when they travel to Davison.
