Senior Hannah Ploof is happy with the team’s performance on Saturday, Dec. 5.

The girls’ bowling team knocked off Flushing at home Saturday, Dec. 5.

The match started off with Kearsley winning both Baker games, 202-138 and 184-159. This gave the Hornets a 10-0 lead before starting the individual games.

The Hornets swept the individual games, rounding out the scoring at 30-0.

Kearsley had two bowlers who combined for over 900 total pins.

Senior Hannah Ploof, who tallied 504 pins, was pleased with her performance.

“I feel like, for a team so young, we did very well,” Ploof said.

Sophomore Barbara Hawes followed with her own score of 461 for the match.

Ploof is also ambitious for the new season.

“(I hope) to win everything like last year,” Ploof said.

The girls’ next match will be Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m. against Holly.
