Teams take sixth at Greater Flint Cross Country Championship
The boys’ and girls’ cross country teams both finished sixth in the Greater Flint Cross Country Championship at Swartz Creek on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The boys finished with 172 points, while Davison finished first with only 27 points.
Sophomore Donald Martin led the Hornets, finishing in 19:37.3 and placing 30th.
Following close behind was sophomore Jack Vollmar, who came in 33rd, running his 5K in 19:52.3
The girls’ team, with 179 points, did not quite match up to Grand Blanc’s winning 39 points.
Junior Lexi Kelly finished 26th overall, running a 23:34.1. Senior Diane Bond succeeded her, finishing 34th in 24:44.6.
The teams have two weeks off, not competing again until the Goodrich Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17.
