Softball

The softball team fell to Swartz Creek 3-2 in extra innings on May 30, losing its Division 1 district championship game at Swartz Creek.

Each team scored a single run in the fourth and fifth innings and went scoreless in the next two innings, moving the game into extra innings 2-2.

The Dragons’ McKenzie McDaniel hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to win the game.

The Hornets reached the championship game after knocking off Flushing 6-2 in the semifinal earlier in the day.

The baseball team ended its season against Flushing 10-1 on May 30, losing in its Division 1 district semi-final game at Swartz Creek.
