Homecoming week is one of the greatest American traditions among high schools.
High schools have been celebrating for decades, and with homecoming week starting, so does the court!
This year’s court has so many great representatives and they are some of the most deserving and outstanding students.
Freshmen
Most freshmen aren’t used to the high school spirit, but many are honored to be a part of the tradition. There are 4 freshmen on the court including Chitara Thompson, Elizabeth Horne, Desmond Smith, and Joshua Hahn.
Horne stated, “I’m so excited and I can’t wait.” Another freshman on the court, Joshua Hahn said, “I’ve never done this before so I’m a bit nervous but happy to be a part of this year’s court.”
Sophomores
The sophomore class is being represented by Emma McCormick, Nicole Naragon, Gerele Pano, and Evan Wilson.
The sophomores are beyond grateful to be on this year’s court.
McCormick is pleased about being on court. “I am very excited to be on court this year! To be honest, I love buying dresses and I can’t wait to get all glammed up for the parade on Friday,” she stated.
Another representative, Wilson, exclaimed, “it is an honor and it’s going to be very fun and I’m ready to get dressed up.”
Juniors
In less than a year, juniors will be able to run for king and queen and they are very eager. This years court includes, Lula White, Bailey Burton, Ambrielle Coughlin, Jaxon Palmer, Trent Zemore and Lucas Groulx.
Lula White stated, “being on homecoming court was one of the best experiences of my life, it was an amazing opportunity and I will be forever grateful for it.”
Seniors
This years senior court has many hard-working representatives which are, Haidynn Bartholomew, Ava Boggs, Emma Fessler, Karsyon Streeter, Annika Young, and Alyvia Bombe. The male representatives include Drake Hollins, Kasen Johnson, Donovan Harrington, Caden Saxton, and Da’Kari Neely.
The seniors are very grateful for the opportunity given to them to represent their classmates.
Young said, “I’m very happy I got picked to be on court my senior year. It is an honor to represent the school with my friends.”
Hollins stated, “I’m just beyond grateful to be picked and I’m so proud of everyone they deserve it.”
At the end of the week, the winners of this year’s court were announced and the winners were Da’kari Neely and Alyvia Bombe.
On behalf of the Kearsely community, I’d like to congratulate the winners of this year’s court.
