The 2023 Prom is coming up and everyone is getting ready for it in their own way!

The Prom is being held on May 6th and the theme for this year’s theme will be “The Golden Year.”

The theme is meant to represent the best time of our lives, senior year, so expect lots of gold and shiny decor.

Prom is a perfect event for couples and friends to hang out and celebrate the end of the seniors final year.

Senior Nicholas MacDonald shares his feelings about Senior Prom.

“I’m a little sad because that is kind of our send-off celebration,” said MacDonald.

Another senior, Thomas Brewer-Brown had similar views about the prom:

“I think it sums up our high school year. We’ve been working toward our Prom since freshman year and we’re finally here,” stated Brewer-Brown.

Brewer-Brown also commented on how he was going to dress up for the event.

“I choose to wear something fancy, floral or sparkly. I’m matching with my best friend Taylor who goes to Lakeville Memorial High School,” said Brewer-Brown.

Senior Maxx Baker is also going to prom with a friend.

“I’m matching with my friend Salem and I’m wearing a dark green tux,” said Baker.

While some Seniors are glad to close off their year, that’s not all who are going to the Prom.

Sophomore Jaeda Ray was invited to the Prom by a friend.

“I feel excited and cool to know that I would be one of the few sophomores at the Prom,” said Ray.

The anticipation for Prom is real and kids are hanging on to get their moment.
