Varsity girls sweep Goodrich

Girls varsity tennis crushed Goodrich in a clean sweep.

On Tuesday, April 12, the Hornets clashed with Goodrich and came out with a clean sweep, taking an 8-0 victory.

In singles one, senior Molly Gunn dominated 6-1, 6-0.

In singles two, senior April Clark destroyed her opponent 6-1, 6-1.

In singles three, senior Jessica Brulla conquered her opponent 6-3, 6-2.

The singles four spot was defaulted to the Hornets due to a forfeit.

The doubles flights were also a clean sweep, with senior Emily Schanick and junior Torri Griffith taking their match 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles two, junior Holly Vernon and senior Payton McKerchie achieved a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

In doubles three, juniors Allyson Palka and Alyssa Boven swept their opponents 6-0, 6-0.

For doubles four, freshmen Kylee Pake and Emily Jacot closed off the win with a 6-2, 6-2 win.

The girls are looking to build off this win and continue their winning streak.
