Passion is one of the most vital traits to carry throughout your entire life.

Passion shapes what you do and ultimately shows if you are determined to give yourself the happiness you deserve.

Senior Zach Bellmer knows all about passion and displays it most out on the football field.

Bellmer has been playing football through his entire high school career and made the move up to varsity his junior year.

Football is one of Bellmer’s biggest passions and recognizes how it has changed his life for the better.

“[Football] has made me a better person,” he says. “It has taught me many life skills like leadership and perseverance.”

Bellmer’s position on the team does not go unnoticed either.

Bellmer plays a central role in the team’s morale, with senior Conan Prevo sharing some insight on a team inside joke.

“Every time he got a pancake, our morale would go up,” Prevo says. “He made an impact because he was just really good at doing his job.”

Bellmer’s devotion to football does not stop just on the field, however.

His drive to better himself shows even more so in the weight room.

Bellmer began working towards building up his body for football, but he realizes the impact it has on his everyday life as well.

“Lifting influences my life by making it easier to just get around,” Bellmer says, “I always feel in better shape after I lift.”

While Bellmer shines bright when it comes to sports, he does not fall short when it comes to just being a good person.

Sophomore Alaina Ryan shares how Bellmer has impacted her life.

“He gives me the motivation to try, even when things are hard,” says Ryan. “Zach has always been there when I needed him and he’s not only made a huge impact on my life, but also my family’s life.”

Bellmer is always bringing up everybody’s mood and making sure all of his friends are happy.

Bellmer loves taking a more hands-on approach to situations in his life, and that’s why he plans to work into a career in plumbing.

Bellmer has put thought into his plan after high school and he has set a path for himself to follow.

“My plans are to go into plumbing and get my certifications in welding,” Bellmer said. “I will do this by joining an apprenticeship in a plumbing and welding program.”

Bellmer has the drive and determination to shape his own future the way he wants it, and he will achieve all of his goals if he puts his mind to them.

Passion and drive shape an individual, and Bellmer is a perfect example of a man full of both of them.
