On Monday, Oct. 25, The Kearsley Hornets faced off against the Fenton Tigers, eventually losing 3-1.

In the first game, the two schools battled out in a competitive game, eventually going to the Tigers 25-18.

The second game was even more competitive and exciting and the Hornets stung the Tigers 25-23.

The Tigers came back for revenge in the third game, scratching the Hornets 25-17.

And in the fourth and final game the Tigers sealed the deal, beating the Hornets 25-8.

Junior Victoria Griffith noticed how hard the team started, but couldn’t continue with the momentum.

“We started off really strong but couldn’t finish when it came down to it.” Griffith said.

The Hornets will be playing again at Swartz Creek for districts on Monday Nov. 1.
