After ten years of playing football, senior Ethan Livingston decided to continue his academic and athletic careers by padding up for Adrian College.

Livingston signed his National Letter of Intent Friday, Jan. 31. He will study criminal justice at Adrian.

The Bulldogs are a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Livingston’s favorite part of high school football were the games.

“I will definitely miss Friday night lights the most,” Livingston said. “The atmosphere is crazy.”

Livingston was most comfortable at Adrian, which was an important factor for him.

“After visiting multiple schools, nothing felt quite like home,” Livingston said. “But after my first visit at Adrian, I knew that was where I wanted to be.”

Senior Gabe Jacobs is proud of how far Livingston has come.

“Ethan and I have been close for so long so of course I’m proud of him,” Jacobs said. “It’s crazy to think that us messing around in the backyard playing with a football would turn into him getting a scholarship and (being able to) go to college to do what he loves.”

Jacobs believes Livingston deserves to be able to play at the next level.

“He’s worked super hard his whole life and has given up so much,” Jacobs said. “I’m glad that all of that hard work is paying off.”

Livingston is looking forward to the change from high school athletics to the collegiate level.

“I’m most excited for the challenges I will have to overcome,” Livingston said. “The transition won’t be easy at all but it’s something I’m ready for.”
