Mrs. Angie Arye (front) and Mrs. Sue Murray are busy at work making the office run smoothly.

Now that the office staff is completely settled in and comfy in their more centralized work area, they are happy that they no longer have to work out of classrooms and science labs.

Mr. Brian Wiskur, principal, said everything in the new office is working perfectly.

“The new office is more convenient for parents,” Whiskur said. “I have both my secretaries in front of me, so it’s easier.”

In addition, discipline and athletics are now separated from where parents go to talk to the principal and assistant principal.

But with the separation, some people lost their office buddies.

Mr. Matt Moore, assistant principal, said there is one downside of the new updates.

“I do like the new office better, but I miss my buddy who used to have the office next to mine, Boudreau,” Moore said.

Mr. Brian Boudreau, dean of students, said the new office is treating him well.

“I like the new office better because it’s cleaner, has bigger windows, a bigger conference room I can use when I need, it’s warm when it’s cold, and (there’s) more room to move around,” Boudreau said.

When students enter the office, they are met by the secretaries: Mrs. Angie Ayres and Mrs. Sue Murray.

Ayre said that being centralized is the best part that came with being in the new office.

“I like the updates better,” Ayre said. “It’s nice being back centrally located.”

Ms. Paulette Day (left) and Mr. Glenn Anderson, security, are posted in the entry way, giving visitors smiling faces to meet when they come into the school.

When student and parents go to check in at the front office they are greeted by the friendly faces of the high school’s security officers, Mr. Glenn Anderson and Ms. Paulette Day

Anderson said that he likes the office in the front of the school better then when it was in the science wing.

“I like it much better. There is a very big improvement,” Anderson said. “It’s much more comfortable and the traffic flow is smoother.”

Day said she likes the deeper conversations she can have with the people passing.

“I like it better up here than down there. We get to see more,” Day said. “We can have conversations with staff. Plus we can have better conversations with the children while they wait for the bus.”
