Kearsley’s standardized testing schedule is set

Statewide testing for the SAT and PSAT is Tuesday and Wednesday, April 10 and 11.

With SAT and PSAT testing occurring Tuesday and Wednesday, April 10 and 11, the high school’s schedule will be a bit different.

Here is a breakdown of what the schedule is going to look like and what will be happening each day.

Tuesday, April 10

Freshmen and sophomores will take the PSAT from 7:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Seniors are required to come to school by 8 a.m. for a 60- to 90-minute presentation by Chemical Bank.

Juniors will be taking the SAT from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 a.m.

To prepare for a long day of testing, students should get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.

The school will serve breakfast for all juniors at 7:15 a.m.

Calculators are not provided, so make sure to bring your own so you are prepared.

Any student that arrives to school late on test day will not be allowed to test. Administration recommends arriving 15 minutes early.

No mechanical pencils are allowed. Make sure to bring plenty of No. 2 pencils.

Buses will run normally in the morning to pick up the students.

The buses will take the freshman and sophomores home at 11:15 a.m., along with any seniors who are still at school. Then the buses will return to school to take the juniors home at 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 11

Only juniors are to report to school in the morning for testing, and buses will bring them.

Juniors will take the ACT WorkKeys from 7:30 a.m.-11 a.m.

Freshmen, sophomores, and seniors have a late start, starting at 11 a.m. after the juniors finish testing.

Buses will drop off freshmen, sophomores, and seniors to the school by 11:25 a.m.

Only juniors will be provided lunch on this day. Everyone else will need to eat before coming to school.

Wednesday classes will follow a half-day schedule: 

1st hour: 11:35-11:58

2nd hour: 12:03-12:26

3rd hour: 12:31-12:54

4th hour: 12:59-1:22

5th hour: 1:27-1:50

6th hour: 1:55-2:20
