Little Caesars will give out free lunch combos
Many of us love to eat fast food, and we’d probably eat it everyday if we had the chance.
But it’s the paying part that comes along with fast food that usually stops us from acting on our cravings.
For junior Joscelyn Burns, paying for lunch Monday, April 2, won’t be a problem, though, because her lunch will be free — just like yours.
On that Monday, people all around the United States can enjoy pizza from Little Caesars without any actual payment.
Little Caesars is giving away free HOT-N-READY lunch combos to its customers due to their “If Crazy Happens” promotion.
Burns plans on going with her best friend, Precious Smith, to get her free lunch.
“We’ll definitely be going to Little Caesars before my mom goes to work,” Burns said. “Me and Precious never turn down the chance to get free food.”
The “If Crazy Happens” promotion was a deal set by Little Caesars that offered a free lunch combo to customers in all 50 states, including Washington, D.C., if a No. 16 seed team beat a No. 1 seed in the 2018 NCAA men’s college basketball tournament.
“With the most recent upset of a No. 1 by a No. 16, Little Caesars is giving away one free HOT-N-READY® Lunch Combo to every family that comes into a participating store between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. local time on April 2, 2018,” Little Caesars said in its press release about the promotion.
A No. 16 seed has never beaten a No. 1 seed before, so Little Caesars probably didn’t expect to actually put their “pizza” where their mouth is.
On Friday, March 16, it finally happened.
The No. 16 Retrievers from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County defeated No. 1 Virginia 74 to 54.
When senior Adam Sefa heard the news, he said, “This is the best thing that ever happened in my life.”
Sefa said he will be in Florida during spring break, but he will still make an effort to find a Little Caesars store.
“Hopefully, they are going to do it in Panama City, Florida, where I’ll be,” Sefa said. “If they are, I’m going to take advantage of it.”
Although the thought of free pizza is exciting, like every deal, there are rules to follow in order to receive your free pizza.
The deal is only valid on Monday, April 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at participating locations, so be sure to call your nearest Little Caesars pizzeria to ensure they’re participating before making the trip.
The lunch combo includes four slices of the company’s deep dish pizza and one Pepsi product.
“Available at participating restaurants nationwide, the Little Caesars $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo includes a satisfying portion of four Detroit-style DEEP!DEEP!™ Dish pizza slices and a 20-ounce Pepsi product, all served during participating hours,” the press release said. “No calling, waiting, or online ordering necessary.”
Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to order before the deal ends at 1 p.m. because after that time the deal is no longer valid, no matter if you were already in line waiting or not.
The deal may stop earlier if supplies run out before the set time.
“If you place your order after 1 p.m. local time, even if you were in line at 1 p.m., local time, the offer will have expired and will not be fulfilled,” Little Caesars said.
The deal also limits one free lunch combo per family.
Students will be able to participate in getting free pizza if they choose to do so because they will be on spring break during this time.
Junior Niccos Patrick was excited to hear about the Little Caesars promotion.
“I’m going to order that pizza on April 2 so I can get free pizza,” Patrick said. “There’s nothing better than free pizza.”
