Senior Bailey Douglas signed a letter of intent on Feb. 7 with the University of Mount Union to play football.

Douglas had a hard choice and was deciding between a few colleges.

“I was deciding between Adrian, Albion, Concordia, and Mount Union,” Douglas said.

The choice he made depended on his career and what suited him.

“I chose this school because it was the best fit for me and my career,” Douglas said.” I am going in to be a physician’s assistant.”

There were many factors that went into making Mount Union top on Douglas’ list. He looked at their football program, their programs to become a physician assistant, and he liked how up to date their facilities are.

“What made it top on my list is the football program. They are 13-time national champions, and No. 1 ranked in the nation,” Douglas said. “They also have the best PA program in Ohio with their PA building only being 3 years old.”

The University of Mount Union is in Alliance, Ohio, which is about an hour’s drive to the southeast of Cleveland.

Douglas is excited to make new friends, join his new team, and play football.

“I’m mostly looking forward to meeting my new team, getting back onto that field, and meeting new people,” Douglas said.

Douglas is optimistic about his future and is eager to take on the challenge of college.

“I know it is going to be a challenge, but I am ready,” Douglas said.
