Girls’ bowlers do not spare Clio
The girls’ bowling team faced off against the Clio Mustangs at Colonial Lanes in Flushing on Jan. 16, beating them 26-4.
Junior Hannah Ploof led the team with scores of 228 and 236 for a 464 series.
During the baker games, the Hornets shot games of 168 and 181 for a total of 342. The Mustangs shot games of 174 and 164 for a total of 338.
The Hornets were up 6-4 after the baker games.
Going into the individual games, the Hornets were confident in their potential to win the match.
In the first individual game the Hornets shot a total of 1,055 with junior Alexxa Flood leading the team with a 234 game while the Mustangs shot a 738 series.
The Hornets were up 15-4 going into the second individual game.
In the second individual game, the Hornets shot a total of 947 with junior Ploof shooting a 236 game.
The Hornets shot a total of 2,351; whereas, Clio rolled a 1,797.
