Boys cross country places fourth at Goodrich

The boys and the girls cross country teams competed at the Kayla O’Mara Invitational at Goodrich on Saturday, Oct.14.

The boys placed fourth out of seven teams with 93 points, while Powers Catholic won the meet with 18 points.

Kearsley’s No. 1 runner was senior Donald Martin who finished in seventh place. He ran the 5K course in 18:02.

The Hornet’s second runner was sophomore Justice Sutcliffe who finished 18th in 19:22.

Senior Robert Parkhurst finished next for Kearsley in 24th place with a time of 19:42.

Senior Kyle Palka finished in 25th place with a time of 19:44.

The girls didn’t get a final score due to not having enough runners. They placed individually, though.

Senior Brooklyn Dever finished in 90th with a time of 25:36.

Freshman Alexis Jones was 94th (26:06), and sophomore Ava Kelly finished 95th (26:14).
