Neon Winter Wonderland theme will electrify Sadie Hawkins dance
Senior class officers have a big year ahead of them. They have to create, plan, and execute different fundraisers for one purpose: Prom.
The best fundraiser they have is the Snowcoming dance, which is Feb. 7 from 7 to 10 p.m.
In 2013, the Snowcoming dance was changed to a Sadie Hawkins dance, which means the girls ask the boys.
This year’s Snowcoming will also feature a Sadie Hawkins dance.
The price of the tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets will be sold at all lunches in the cafeteria starting Jan. 26 until Feb. 6.
Students from other schools are allowed to come to the dance if a guest pass is filled out and turned into the office by Jan. 23.
Senior Class President Teagan MacDonald has high hopes for this year’s Sadie’s.
“We want to get at least 300 to 400 kids there,” MacDonald said.
Senior class officers made this year’s Sadie Hawkins dance a Neon Winter Wonderland theme.
To prepare for the dance, they are designing the tickets, making decorations, setting ticket prices, and advertising the dance.
The dance will offer concessions provided by DECA and coat check provided by the Junior Class.
Senior class officers have started something new for this year’s dance. Beginning Feb. 2, there will be a spirit week to kick off the dance.
- Monday- Clash Day
- Tuesday- Winter Day
- Wednesday- Nerd Day
- Thursday- Baby/Old people Day
- Friday- Neon Day
As for the dance, MacDonald said it will be “a fun, loud night to remember with your classmates and (be) the best Sadie’s so far.”
