On Thursday, May 18, the boys golf team lost to Brandon 183-191.

Leading the team was senior Connor VanSteenburg with a score of 45.

Junior Jack Vollmar and sophomore Tyler Gronauer both contributed with scores of 47.

Gronauer wishes his performance would’ve been better

“I always could’ve done better,” Gronauer said.

Sophomore Logan Loyer also contributed with a score of 52.

Gronauer believes there were many factors to the team’s loss.

“The wind was a huge factor,” Gronauer said. “When we first started, our bags were falling over and it was really hard to hit. But we tried our best.”

The Hornets are now 4-3 in the Flint Metro League.

Their next tournament will be Monday, May 22, at the Flint Metro League Post-season Tournament at Fenton Farms.
