On Tuesday, May 9, the golf team beat Flushing 174-186 at the Flint Elks Golf and Country Club.

This win caused their record to improve to 3-1 in the Flint Metro League.

Senior Connor Vansteenburg led the team with a score of 39.

Junior Jack Vollmar followed closely behind Vansteenburg, shooting a 42.

Sophomore Logan Loyer had a personal best of 43.

Loyer has continued to put in the time and effort this season to make his scores go lower.

“I went from scores of 60 to 55 to 43, which is a huge improvement,” Loyer said. “All around, I’ve just found little things to work on and began fixing them.”

The team’s next match is Wednesday, May 10, against Clio at Clio Country Club.
