Girls’ basketball falls to LakeVille at The Palace
The girls’ basketball team lost to LakeVille 38-41 on Dec. 26.
The teams squared off in foreign territory at The Palace of Auburn Hills as part of the Holiday Classic.
At the end of the first half, the Hornets (2-5, 0-3) were up 18-10, playing with a strong defense and an aggressive offense. But LakeVille outscored the Hornets by 11 points in the second half for the victory.
Sophomore Brandi Morgan scored the most points in the game with 17, which included knocking down four 3-point shots.
Junior Diane Bond added 13 points for the Hornets.
In addition, sophomores Rachel Tolley and Brittney Dick chipped in four points apiece.
