The Hornets defeated Owosso in the K-O Clash on Friday, April 28, at the Flint Elks Club.

The score was 187-203 with senior Connor VanSteenburg and junior Jack Vollmar leading the team with a score of 41 each.

Sophomores Logan Loyer and Stephen White also helped contribute to their teams with scores of 50 and 51, respectively.

Loyer believes it was a fairly even match.

“Overall, as a whole team, we played pretty good,” Loyer said. “Both teams played their average scores.”

Playing better lately, Loyer sees improvement in his own game.

“My personal performance has gotten a lot better since my last two matches,” Loyer said.

The team helped with Kearsley’s win for the K-O Clash, as well.

Their next match is Wednesday, May 1, at the Flint Elks Club against Linden.
