Kearsley loses to Holly
The boys basketball team fell to Holly 71-65 on its home court Tuesday, Feb. 14.
The Hornets were led by seniors Chandler Ford with 14 points and Darrion Younger with 12.
Ford said Kearsley, which played its second game in two days, struggled to maintain its competitive spirit.
“In the beginning of the game, our intensity was holding up on offense and defense,” Ford said. “But when we faced adversity, we didn’t fight hard enough to win the game.”
The Hornets are now 4-8 in the Metro League.
Kearsley travels to Brandon on Friday, Feb. 17 in a showdown with the Blackhawks.
