The cheer team placed first at the Fenton Tiger Invitational on Friday, Feb. 10.

Kearsley finished with 233.30 points in round one, 217.14 in round two, and 313.30 in round three.

The cheer team finished with a grand total of 763.74 points, beating the second place team, Midland Dow, who had 729.36 points. Linden scored 692.26 points for third place.

Senior Hailey Baltosser sees the improvement the team has made since the season started.

“With each competition that passes, I can see how much hard work we have put forth,” Baltosser said. “I’m extremely proud of my team.”

Kearsley’s district competition is Friday, Feb. 17, at KHS.
