The wrestling team started the season perfectly, winning a double-dual match on the road.

The Hornets traveled to Brandon on Wednesday, Jan. 4, to take on Brandon and Flushing.

Kearlsey defeated the Blackhawks 47-20 and the Raiders 53-18.

Seniors going undefeated for the day were Zach Elizondo, Dylan Tarrence, Reese Harburn, and Marcus Moss.

Junior Andy Ruhstorfer was a double winner along with freshmen Trenton DiGenova and John Brown.

The Hornets travel to Swartz Creek on Wednesday, Jan. 18, to face Holly and Linden.

The early showdown with the Bronchos is important. Kearsley and Holly are the only teams in the Metro League that are undefeated.
