App allows new access for yearbook to get photos

Students now have the power to submit any photos to the school yearbook they want.

An app, titled Yearbook Snap, is providing a way for students to submit photos directly to the Echo.

Yearbook snap is available in the App Store and in the Google Play Store, so anybody should be able to use it.

Senior Cami Clarambeau, editor in chief of the Echo, thinks that Yearbook Snap will help increase participation by the student body.

“Last year we noticed that some people were not in the yearbook at all. We wanted to give some more people a fair chance to have their pictures in it,” Clarambeau said.

Users do have to submit a code to send photos to their yearbooks. Kearsley’s access code is: KHSYB16

A smartphone isn’t the only means of entry though. Students can also go to yearbookforever.com, then enter Kearsley’s name and access code.

Ms. Kari Shaw, the yearbook adviser, is ambitious about having already received a number of photos through the app.

“Let’s see if we can try to get people to send us some pictures and get people excited about the yearbook,” Shaw said.
