Wildwood Rush is a great place to visit if you are feeling adventurous.

Looking for something adventurous to do this spring? Then go check out the Wildwood Rush Zip Line Canopy Tour in Boyne City.

This is a breathtaking experience, filled with beauty and heights. You also can get an amazing view of Lake Charlevoix from their six tree-top platforms.

You can go on a tour of the forest though the zip lines that reach speeds up to 40 mph. Plus they have a twin zip line at the end that is 1,500 feet long, so you can race your friends.

Junior Alayna Haack has been to Wildwood twice.

Haack said she likes the experience of zipping through the trees.

“The minute I took off I felt a huge adrenaline rush come over me,” Haack said.

Another activity at Wildwood is walking on top of the forest on walkways swinging from tree to tree.

You can zip across a series of nine forest cables and cross five sky bridges that are like suspended walkways above the forest floor.

Plus you will hear some facts about Earth’s eco systems.

You can sign up with your friends to do the tour — maximum is eight people per group — or you can just stop by and do a quick zip by yourself.

The full canopy tour is $75, and a single zip line ride is $20. For more types of rides go to there website.

If you have a small group you get paired with other people so you get a group of eight.

Haack has always enjoyed her experience at Wildwood Zip Lines, saying it was a perfect place for anyone to go. She also said she was nervous, but the tour guides helped her and made her feel comfortable.

However, you better plan ahead and check the weather because Wildwood does not operate in the rain due to how open the lines are.

They do offer rain checks if you do happen to get rained out, so you can have a fun-filled day of zipping along the trees on a later date.

Haack said you can zip through the forest with an amazing view of Lake Charlevoix.

“I loved it there,” Haack said. “I would definitely go back, such a cool experience. I cant wait to go back, hopefully.”
