Softball defeats Bronchos, improves league record to 4-0
The softball team continues its winning streak after sweeping the Holly Bronchos in a doubleheader Monday, April 18.
In the first game, the Hornets won with a final score of 15-3.
Junior Brittney Dick and senior Brianna Finley each contributed three hits to the team’s total, while senior Sydney Ouellette had three RBI.
Sophomore Olivia Dunsmore was the winning pitcher for the game.
In the nightcap, the Hornets beat the Bronchos with a final score of 14-1.
Three team members — sophomore Desiree Lewis, Ouellette, and junior Chloe Jankowski — led the team in hits, with totals of three, two, and two, respectively.
Ouellette had five RBI, while junior Loren Jolin had three and Jankowski had two.
Oullette was also the winning pitcher of this game, striking out six.
Kearsley is still undefeated (8-0 overall, 4-0 league) and will next face Frankenmuth High School away, Wednesday, April 20.
The first game begins at 4 p.m.
