Students give blood at KHS
The National Honor Society held a blood drive at Kearsley for students who met the requirements Friday, April. 1.
In order for students to donate, they had to sign up for the blood drive during lunch last week.
Senior Hannah Ploof, NHS president, enjoys being able to host her second blood drive.
“It’s amazing how we can hold something so valuable to others,” Ploof said. “This is my second one while being president, and I am very proud of the things we are able to accomplish.”
About 60 people have signed up for the blood drive.
Senior Konstantinos Zaravelis was one of the 60 people and was more than happy to give blood.
“I figured that I really have nothing to lose,” Zaravelis said. “I am saving lives and it really does make all the difference. Someone could be close to losing their lives and my blood might be exactly what they need in order to live.”
