Prom theme changed to ‘Animal Farm’
At a class officer meeting Monday, March 21, the prom theme was changed.
Yet again.
The theme changed from royalty, to royal masquerade, to animal farm.
This time, senior Santino Guerra, class president, decided it would be fun to bring your pets.
All pets are welcome.
In addition, the dance will now be held at the Davison dog park due to insufficient funds in the class budget.
Guerra suggested it to be less formal in case the park is muddy; plus lots of animals will be around.
“I think it would be cool, especially for those that love their pets,” Guerra said. “Seeing dogs and cats dressed up for prom will be hilarious.”
Senior Colleen Desrochers, class secretary, is also excited about the dance.
“This will be so much more fun than an actual dance. Plus the tickets will be way cheaper,” Desrochers said.
Admission to the dog park is free so now students only have to pay for food, not the venue.
The menu will be chicken nuggets and fries. Bottles of water will also be offered in an effort to avoid spills and stains on clothes.
Dog and cat treats will be provided for all furry friends.
If you plan on bringing your pet, you do have to purchase them a ticket too.
The Class of 2016 encourages all attendees to not only bring their pets, but to put them in costumes as well.
Tickets are $30 for students and $15 for pets.
Again, the price of tickets will go toward food.
Not only has the theme changed, but so has the time.
The dance will be held from noon to two p.m.
Come get your party on with the Class of 2016 at the park.
We encourage parents and loved ones to come take pictures but please, no flash photography, it may scare the animals.
