Spring activities offer entertainment
The first day of spring was Sunday, March 20, so now we can finally start the countdown to summer that we have all been longing for.
Here are five activities I suggest doing to keep you busy during the short months of spring.
Picnic at the park
Picnics are something I have enjoyed since I was a little girl.
Picnics are not hard to manage, just make your favorite go-to snack and grab a buddy to take to a nice park near you.
Remember to bring all the necessities like forks, spoons, plates, and napkins so once you get there you can stay and relax.
Play in the rain
Rain is soothing to a lot of people, and although playing in the rain may seem childish to some, you can find yourself stress-free and happy because of it.
But before you go outside make sure you throw on some old clothes that you do not care about. And always remember to be cautious of thunder and lightning, retreating to somewhere safe if the storm gets out of hand.
Spring cleaning
Cleaning never seems like much fun to do, but spring cleaning is the perfect time to round up all of your winter gear and bring out all of your summer clothes.
Take a road trip
If you have some money to spare and nothing to do, I suggest taking a short road trip with some friends, whether it be to a nearby park or a cheap movie.
Some places I suggest going to that are only a few miles out is Stepping Stone Falls. It has free admission and a beautiful view of what Flint has to offer.
Another place I suggest taking a road trip to would be Frankenmuth. It is 27.8 miles away from Flint, and Frankenmuth offers festivities year-round for everyone to enjoy. Frankenmuth is the perfect place to get away for a few hours with a few of your pals or family.
Tie-dye T-shirts
If you ever find yourself bored, drive to a local Walmart and pick up a Tie-dye kit and a plain white T-shirt. Prices for both the kit and the T-shirt range between $10 and $20, depending on how crafty you want to be. The kit will offer many designs, and you can even create your own design.
Not only will this fun activity keep you busy for a couple of hours, but the design on the shirt is worth the wait.
These are only a few of the activities that I find myself turning to when I having nothing to do.
I hope you take some of my suggestions into mind if you find yourself growing bored, but always make sure to have a safe and happy spring!
