A few artists won big at the Grammys

The Grammys took place on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016.

Hundreds of respected artists await desperately to hear their names called for the award — any award.

However, with only 75 awards given out, only a few were able to walk away at the end of the night victorious.

Some of the biggest awards given out were as follows:

Record of the Year: “Uptown Funk,”  Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars

Album of the Year: “1989,” Taylor Swift

Best New Artist: Meghan Trainor

Song of the Year: “Thinking out Loud,” Ed Sheeran

Best Country Album: “Traveller,” Chris Stapleton

Best Rap Album: “To Pimp a Butterfly,” Kendrick Lamar

Best Rock Album: “Drones,” Muse

Best R&B Album: “Black Messiah,” D’Angelo and Vangaurd

Best Urban Contemporary Album: “Beauty Behind the Madness,” The Weeknd

Best Music Video: “Bad Blood,” Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar

The big winners of the night were Lamar (five), Swift (three), Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson (three), and Sheeran (two).
