Girls’ bowling knocks down two opponents
The girls’ bowling team faced Linden and Clio on Saturday, Dec. 19, defeating them both.
In the first match, Kearsley beat Linden 28-2.
The Hornets had a 10-0 lead after the Baker games, and in the individual games they received eight out of nine points.
The top bowler of the match was freshman Alexis Roof with games of 228 and 153.
In the second match of the day, the Hornets faced Clio, sweeping the Mustangs 30-0.
Kearsley won both Baker games and all of the individual games.
Senior Hannah Ploof was the top bowler for this match with pinfalls of 252 and 184.
Ploof feels that the team has some things they need to improve upon.
Ploof said, “We need to get better on picking up spares.”
The Hornets compete next on Sunday, Dec. 27 in the Mixed Doubles Tournament at Richfield Bowl.
