Christmas spirit week quickly approaches KHS
With Christmas quickly approaching, so are all of the festivities that come along with it.
From decorating classroom doors to donating gifts to needy families, the school participates in many activities for the season.
This year, the high school will also be participating in a Christmas spirit week.
Spirit week will feature five different clothing themes for all grades to participate in.
On the first day, Monday, Dec. 14, the theme will be Christmas movie day.
On this day, students are able to wear their favorite Christmas movie T-shirt or even dress as a character, like Buddy the elf, from a Christmas movie.
On Tuesday, Dec. 15, red and green clothing is to be worn.
The next day is Christmas sock and hat day. Students are encouraged to wear a Santa or elf hat along with some Christmas-themed socks.
On Thursday, Dec. 17, students are urged to dress like a Christmas tree. Just wearing a green sweater with bulbs attached to it and brown pants is acceptable for this day.
For the final day on Friday, Dec. 18, students should wear an ugly Christmas sweater.
Senior Jayme Wharram is excited for Christmas spirit week.
“I am going to participate every day and have some Christmas spirit for it,” Wharram said. “I think it is going to be a ton of fun.”
