‘The Nutcracker’ will dance at The Whiting
Christmas is less than a month away, and the Flint Institute of Music is kicking off the season with a performance of “The Nutcracker” at The Whiting.
The performance will feature the Collage Dance Collective of Memphis and talented dancers from the Flint School of Performing Arts. The Flint Symphony Orchestra will score the production.
Two performances will bring Tchaikovsky’s classic alive Saturday, Dec. 5.
The first one will begin at 2 p.m. and the second will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The last performance of the classic will be on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m.
Tickets for the performance range anywhere from $8 to $30, depending on where you want to sit.
Junior Erin Davis appreciates “The Nutcracker.”
“It is a beautiful production that truly gets people in the Christmas spirit,” Davis said.
