Capture the essence of fall

During the fall there are five things that everyone should do.

Fall is upon us. Leaves have changed their colors, nights have grown colder, and days have been shorter.

Before the bitter weather of winter forces us to stay indoors, it is the perfect time to look for activities.

Here are some of my favorite things to enjoy in the fall.

Visit an apple orchard

Fall is the prime season to do a lot of apple picking. What better place to do it then at an apple orchard? Not only do you get a crazy amount of apples at cheap prices, but you also get the advantage of picking the apples yourself.

Watch a football game

Whether you are bundled up in warm clothes supporting your favorite football team in the stands or sitting in the luxury of your own home, football is a great game to bring family and friends together.

Bake treats

The best months to bake treats are October and November. I

t seems like the smell of freshly baked cookies is always in the air. The cool crisp fall days are perfect for fresh-from-the-oven loaves of bread and cookies. Some of my favorite breads are banana bread and pumpkin bread. My favorite cookies to make are pumpkin spice hot cocoa cookies and no-bakes.

Hot drinks

Few things are as soothing as a warm, spiced beverage on a crisp fall day.

Hot drinks advertised everywhere in the fall.

Pumpkin spice lattes, chocolate mochas, and hot apple ciders are my favorite drinks during the fall, and they always seem to hit the spot.

Take a walk

Put your headphones on and go for a walk. It’s the easiest way to get out of the house without having to spend money.

Fall is the best time of the year to take a walk. The appealing colors of nature help keep my body relaxed and stress free.

You can also go outside without having to worry about dripping in sweat or coming home with frostbite. The cool weather keeps your body at a comfortable temperature to keep your feet moving.
