Bond crowned homecoming queen
Kearsley crowned its homecoming queen — senior Diane Bond — during halftime of the football game Friday, Oct. 9.
Other senior princesses were Karmen Bishoff, Gionna Gentry, Colleen Desrochers, Nadia Koontz, and Claire Zuwala.
This was not the Bond family’s first royal announcement, considering Bond’s brother, Billy, was crowned homecoming king at Atherton in 2013.
Bond was both surprised and happy to win.
“I was honored to be chosen as queen by my peers. I was shocked to win because the other five girls deserved it just as much,” Bond said.
“All of the other girls on court are amazing and made this experience so special for me, along with my parents (William and Darlene) and brother. I’m very honored to be in this position my last year of high school.”
