Booth, Schwartz lead tennis in win against SWA
The tennis team beat Southwestern Academy 5-3 on Friday, Sept. 11.
Due to a lack of players on SWA’s team, the No. 4 singles, along with the Nos. 2, 3, and 4 doubles matches were won by default.
The only winning match played came from the No. 1 doubles team of sophomore Meteo Booth and junior Dante Schwartz.
Booth and Schwartz won in two sets, 6-2, 6-2.
Booth said he and Schwartz did “fine” but have room to improve.
“We have some stuff to improve on,” Booth said. “At least I have some things to improve on.”
The Hornets next match is Wednesday, Sept. 16, against Imlay City at home.
